Railway Stamps

Between 1913 and 1957 the Swiss Federal Railway issued special stamps to indicate the payment of domestic parcel freight charges.

This example from the 1920 issue were used to pay this waybill's freight charges of SFr 6.50 plus 10 centimes stamp tax for a shipment of two bundles of fabric totaling 110 kilograms from Geneva to Fribourg.
