Officials

Prior to 1935, no “official” stamps were in use by the Swiss government agencies. Other means of marking official mail as free from postage were used. Between 1935 and 1950, the Swiss PTT perforated or overprinted five definitive issues for use by agencies of the Swiss Federal Government.
